Nestled in the cove of La Quinta, Tradition Golf Club was built on the grounds of an old rustic La Quinta ranch. The Tradition offers incredible mountain and fairway views with 1920s Spanish Colonial architecture. Timeless details, exquisite materials and intimate courtyards with splashing fountains are just some of what you find. Lush green landscaping and surrounding mountains give a look and feel vastly different from other desert courses.

Tradition is well known for its elegant, understated atmosphere and its pristine golf course and lifestyle. Tradition has a no tee times, no schedule policy. The 18 hole championship course and 9 hole par 3 course are impeccably designed by Arnold Palmer using bent grass, Tif dwarf greens and crushed white marble sand traps.

Membership also includes use of their intimate clubhouse with historic garden courtyards as well as their state of the art fitness center. Contributing to the special ambiance of Tradition are many event activities that are scheduled throughout the season. From extravagant gourmet dinners to relaxed daily gatherings at the “Bark Park” , where “Yappy Hour” cocktails bring out the entire neighborhood, especially members’ four legged friends.

The residential section of Tradition is made up of Custom homes & lots, California Village Homes and Bungalows.

The California Village Homes are located at the top of the property and are part of a separate HOA within Tradition. Village homes are “lock and leave”: for the homeowner that wants a low maintenance home. The HOA fees cover all costs associated with landscaping, pools, spas, fountains and pest control services.

Bill and Amy’s Viewpoint

It doesn’t get any better than playing a great round at Tradition. One of the best views comes from the elevated tee box on the seventeenth hole. Tradition has historic charm that is not found at any other club in La Quinta. The membership is very classy and low key. With its new Fitness Center, it now has everything a golfer could desire. We are now the on-site sales agents at Tradition and can give your the grand tour of their facilities. If you are an avid golfer, you should play this course. Every whole is memorable, and you will fall in love with the course. A junior membership is available for the under 50 crowd which allows full benefits for 50% of regular membership dues. Fantastic opportunity!
