The Palms is a gated community that has earned its reputation for being one of the deserts’ best golfing experiences. The Palms is an equity club, member owned and operated. The course was designed by part-time resident Fred Couples and Brian Curley. This single member membership structure eliminates the need for tee times. Guests are limited to six visits per season. All rounds are played in three hours fifty minutes or less.

The Palms “core golf layout” features the course as the center of the community, with just 101 homes around its outside perimeter. More than 2,000 date palms, 1,000 desert mesquite trees and hundreds of fruit bearing citrus give the course a unique flavor. Three creeks wind through the community. Players may walk or ride golf carts.

Bill and Amy’s Viewpoint

Members of Palms rave about the fast play, no tee-times and ability to “get a game” when you show up. The single membership lends itself to lots of male members with non-golfing spouses. This is not the ideal couples’ golf club. The other draw back, would be the location. It is a long way from town and shopping. Many members live and belong at other clubs and use the Palms as a secondary membership.
